We adopted a rescue that was already full size...100#.  We were told he was just housebroken and trained....joke was on us; he broke out of his kennel and DESTROYED our house the first day he was home alone (2 weeks after adoption) TWICE in one day.

DESTROYED isn’t a word that I use lightly....imagine the amount of poop a 100# dog can produce....now imagine that in liquid form + stress/separation anxiety (that we didn’t know he had) + urine being tracked for your house for HOURS after his Houdini style escape(s)....windows, walls, couch, rugs, doors, counters, etc. covered in “Lewie-liquids” (not to mention the hole in the drywall next to the front door and the kitchen window from his attempts to escape). He was the worst of the worst, and we allllll needed Jen’s help.

She was a gift from my parents for Christmas, and boy she, to this day, is the best thing that could have happened to all of us. She was ON IT. She worked with Lewie immediately and endlessly with positivity and understanding. She was available to us for any and all questions we had and, quite honestly, trained us just as much as she trained our fur child in how to communicate and understand each other.

Over a 6 month period, our pup went from “untrainable” to “perfect”. Lewie is now a free-to-range-the-home pet with no issues. We all walked away with so many new understandings of each other. And when Lewie (and the humans) had graduated from needing her help, she still makes phone calls/texts/and house calls when she is in the area to check in on us, and we are all excited to see her.

Lewie improved almost immediately on a leash. He knows both sign language commands and verbal commands. He has undergone impulse control training (if something falls on the floor, he doesn’t immediately try to eat it but instead looks to his humans, makes eye contact, and waits for commands in order to take something).

Jen also was there when we brought home our daughter from the hospital to make sure that there weren’t any early signs of contention and uneasiness on Lewie’s Part. She also interpreted the good behaviors that Lewie would display around our daughter and why they were important. I could go on and on, but I hope this helps paint a picture of not only how important your pup is but how vitally important your TRAINER is. We found a friend for LIFE!  Thanks to Kawa Farms for everything you have done and continue to do for us!

I would also like to add: the negative reviews...this isn’t magic...if you want to have your pup listen to you, then you also have to be willing to put in the time just as they have. If you don’t want to listen to their professional opinion and aren’t getting the same results as the profession, then maybe it’s not the professional's fault. You can’t see change if you don’t change. If you don’t like the professional opinion, get a second one. And a third. And if you get the same opinion from all of them, then move on.
